Mission: Provide scouts and adults with good fellowship, adventure, organized activities and a sense of personal accomplishment . . . . together with a smooth planning process for leaders.

We’ve seen it .....  dozens of scouts on an outing with endless energy. Our rafting adventure packages channel that energy with scheduled Youth Activities from arrival to departure.   We also assign a Youth Director to your group who assists with set-up, planning and activities so leaders can relax more.   

We can also help you coordinate the Whitewater Merit Badge and 50-Mile Badge.

ONE DAY YOUTH KENNEBEC RIVER RAFTING TRIP ITINERARY:                                                 

  • Meet your Youth Director and review the events of the day
  • 9:00 a.m. start and approx. 4:30 finish; earlier finish times can sometimes be pre-arranged to give you a head start with your afternoon travel plans
  • Check-in at Base Lodge, equipment issue (including complimentary wetsuit rental, if necessary) and then safety speech
  • Shuttle to the river put-in
  • 12 mile rafting adventure begins at famous Harris Station dam
  • Riverside break with snack at pebble beach or scenic waterfall
  • Continued trip down lower river offers a chance for group fun:  swimming, waterfights or joke & story telling
  • Take out around 2:30 p.m. and enjoy a riverside stroll back to the Base Lodge
  • After changing into dry clothes, feast on a hot BBQ lunch buffet.  Dine either inside the Base Lodge or picnic on the lawn and enjoy your choice of freshly grilled barbeque chicken, salmon filet or veggie burger served with an array of side dishes, dessert and lemonade.
  • Wrap up the day with a laughter-filled slide and/or video presentation of your group’s rafting trip from start to finish
