Summertime Theatre - Lakewood Theatre & Restaurant - Madison, Maine - America's oldest summer theatre located on the shores of Lake Wesserunsett offers theatre and lakeside dining from May - October. Presentations range from farce, romantic comedy, family, musical, comedy melodrama, etc.  The restored historic inn, 75+ years old, serves as the home for the shows and fine dining.  Plus, the Lakewood Golf Course is just across the street.    Click here for more information.

May 15 - June 12, 2010 - Moose Mania Festival - Greenville, Maine - Each spring the Moosehead Lake Region hosts a month long celebration honoring the region's favorite resident - the Moose.  Some of the scheduled events: Moose River Canoe Race, Moosterpiece Craft Fair, Kid's Fun Day, the Famous Moose Tales and more.   Click here for more information. 

Kingfield POPS - Kingfield, Maine - The hills of Kingfield, Maine will echo with the sounds of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra during the 8th annual Kingfield POPS.  This outdoor event, nestled in the spectacular mountains near Sugarloaf/USA, will once again present classical, popular and patriotic music.  It will be an evening of musical entertainment and a weekend of art, culture and festivities.  Click here for more information. 

July 4, 2010 - 6th Annual Fireworks Display at the confluence of the Kennebec & Dead Rivers at dark.  Spectacular riverside fireworks show from the island separating the Kennebec & Dead.  It's just a short walk from PRO's basecamp along the river.  Join us for this popular annual event. 

Forest Heritage Days - Greenville, Maine - A yearly celebration of the Moosehead Lake Regions heritage and history:  woods tours, educational exhibits, craft fair, logging games.  Witness for yourself these professional loggers as they compete with their saws with precision and skill.  Click here for more information

Mid two weeks of August 2010 -  Somerset County's State Fair will be held mid August 2009 at the Skowhegan, Maine fairgrounds.  This annual event attracts people from across Maine.  Good old fashioned tractor pulls, agricultural competitions and fairgrounds with rides and exhibition halls make for a fun filled full day event.  Learn more at the Skowhegan State Fair website

August 27 - 29, 2010 - American Folk Festival - Bangor, Maine - The 2010 American Folk Festival, taking place on the waterfront in the seaside town of Bangor, Maine, continue the tradition of quality, authentic musical performers, dance, culture, food and storytelling from across America.  Six stages, two dozen performing groups and free admission.  Click here for more information.
