SUMMER/FALL WHITEWATER RAFTING

Mid-June through the Fall usually finds the Hudson River a slower-paced, family adventure with whitewater suitable for all ages.   During your trip, you'll float gentle rapids, smell the cedar trees and soak up the warmth of a lazy, midsummer sun.  This 17 mile trip brings you through the ancient Adirondacks, one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world.  Summertime whitewater rafting on the Hudson River is a rare opportunity to see one of the wildest areas in the United States.

HUDSON RIVER RAFTING ITINERARY

A 1-day Hudson River rafting trip generally meets around 9:00 a.m. in Indian River, New York and ends around 4:30 p.m.. In the morning, you meet the guides, sign a general release, and grab a lifejacket and paddle. In the spring, wetsuits are required and are available for rent.  In the summer, they’re not required but may be recommended.  After listening to a comprehensive safety talk it's off to the river in our shuttle vehicle to the river put-in where you launch on your 17 mile journey.   After the rafting finishes, we bring you back to the outpost where you change into your dry clothes and enjoy our famous BBQ lunch.  Pictures of your rafting trip are available for viewing and purchase as a momento of your adventure.
