Combine a whitewater rafting adventure on the Kennebec, Dead or Penobscot Rivers with an evening party and your rafting outing will be a winner. The whitewater rafting trips generally run from 9:00 – 4:30 and are moderately difficult which is great for mixed ability levels. Then later that day we can arrange for dinner and a casual party either around the campfire, at the banquet hall or under the activity pavilion. Add music and a “theme” and your college outing will be a winner. College Packages start at $54pp for whitewater rafting.
The banquet hall, located at our Kennebec and Dead River basecamp, is fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom, tables & chairs and room for dancing. On the Penobscot River our outdoor activity pavilion can host your party. A d.j. can be hired. And you can spice up the function with themed tablecloths and decorations.
If your plans include a stayover, we offer camping, Cabin Tent camping and lodging.
Our Kennebec & Dead campground is located next to the river and is nestled amongst the pines. The sites are private and conducive for gatherings and music jams around the campfire. There is direct access to the river and a popular swimming beach. Drive-in campsites for large groups are available. Volleyball and horseshoes are offered. The bathrooms are clean and heated, have free showers, electrical outlets and are open 24 hours.
Indoor accommodations are available at Grand View Lodging which is just 4 miles north of the Kennebec and Dead basecamp. With a 5-bedroom house, four modern apartments and a campfire area, Grand View Lodging can host 35+ people in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The large private deck overlooking the mountain range is great for socializing. And the expansive lawn is perfect for football, baseball or frisbee. In addition to full service lodging, an economy package is available for Grand View where you bring your own sleeping bag and sleep on top of the bed for a reduced rate.
