MAINE KAYAKING TRIPS - FUNYAKING
Funyaking is Fun! A Funyak is an inflatable kayak. This sporty 1 or 2 person boat has an open cockpit, sits low to the water and is very stable. You manuveur the Funyak through playholes and moderate rapids. Before launch, trained guides give you basic instruction on how to paddle, how to steer and pick a route through small rapids. Then you guide your own Funyak while exploring hidden parts of the rivers. Choose a guided trip on the Middle Kennebec or Dead Rivers (minimum age 10, weight and water levels permitting). Or you can choose an unguided trip on calm, Class I water on the Lower Kennebec (minimum age 8).
Funyaking trips on the Kennebec River are available 7 days a week all season long.
Funyaking trips on the Dead River are available June 26, 27, July 3, 4, 25, 2010.
